Firmato l’accordo tra Yacht Club de Monaco e Royal Selangor Yacht Club per una nautica internazionale d’eccellenza

Durante il Monaco Economic Forum 2023 a Kuala Lumpur di fine novembre è stato siglato un importante Memorandum di Intesa tra lo Yacht Club de Monaco e il Royal Selangor Yacht Club (RSYC). 

L’accordo originario del 2008 è stato siglato in una visione di reciprocità, ma la cerimonia di firma del Memorandum di Intesa è avvenuta durante la visita di Stato di SAS il Principe Alberto II di Monaco in Malaysia, con la presenza di illustri rappresentanti di entrambi i club.

Bernard d’Alessandri (Segretario Generale dello Yacht Club de Monaco) ha firmato l’accordo a nome del club monegasco, mentre il Commodoro Che Wan Azuar ha rappresentato il Royal Selangor Yacht Club.

Ad oggi, con la firma del Memorandum di Intesa, i due club ambiscono a ottenere la prestigiosa certificazione “La Belle Classe Destinations by YCM” per il Royal Selangor Yacht Club: questa iniziativa segna un significativo passo avanti nel promuovere la cooperazione e l’innovazione nel mondo della navigazione internazionale.

Questo tipo di certificazione dello YCM è stata istituita nel 2011, e stabilisce uno standard di eccellenza per strutture, servizi ed eventi. L’obiettivo è creare una rete esclusiva di club nautici e porti turistici che rispetti la peculiarità di ogni destinazione, favorendo simultaneamente lo sviluppo della navigazione sostenibile su scala internazionale e collaborazioni nell’organizzazione di eventi sociali e sportivi congiunti, facilitare scambi di personale e di membri, e offrire ai soci l’opportunità di partecipare agli esclusivi eventi reciprocamente. 

Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2023

Tra i progetti futuri di cooperazione tra lo YCM e Io RSYC vi è la distribuzione in Malaysia dell’Indice SEA, il primo calcolatore di impronta di carbonio per superyacht (+25 m), e la partecipazione di una squadra malese al Monaco Energy Boat Challenge nel luglio 2024, un evento chiave per le fonti alternative di energia sostenibile nel settore nautico.

L’obiettivo finale di questa partnership è incoraggiare lo sviluppo della navigazione in Malaysia, un settore che funge da ponte tra due nazioni con una comune visione di innovazione e sostenibilità. I due club mirano a modellare in Malaysia poi, le basi per un settore nautico responsabile, in linea con gli Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile delle Nazioni Unite, seguendo l’approccio collettivo di “Monaco, Capitale della Nautica Avanzata”.
