Cala Benirràs

Cala Benirràs (also called Port de Benirràs) is located along the northeastern part of the coast of the island of Ibiza. It is closed in its southern part by Cap Blanc and in its northern part by Cap Roig.

The bay has a slightly U-shape and is located about seven kilometers from the center of Sant Miquel de Balansat and has the relief of Puig des Guixa behind it.
Anchoring conditions within the bay are good, especially as far as the summer period is concerned, when winds from the east are not very intense. However, in strong northerly and northeasterly winds, anchoring in this bay is strongly discouraged.

The seabed consists of sand and seaweed and has a fair amount of hold. You can anchor in the center of the bay, at a depth ranging from six to twelve meters, but as you approach the shore, beware of some scattered rocks that reduce the depth of the seabed.
The beautiful seabed and crystal clear waters also attract many scuba diving enthusiasts here.

The cove is located in a sparsely urbanized area and is surrounded by rocky reliefs and thick pine forests.
In the innermost part of Benirràs Bay is a beach, with fine, golden sand and a shallow slope. It is about 130 meters long and is also accessible to people with mobility impairments.
In the summertime beach patrons can find showers here and have the opportunity to rent beach equipment, such as umbrellas and deck chairs.
Near the beach there are a few wooden huts for storing small fishing boats.

A few restaurants and hotels can be found in the vicinity of the bay.

Around Cala Benirràs are other picturesque bays, such as Cala d’en Ferrer and Calo de S’Illa.
