Anse de l’Argent Faux

Anse de l’Argent Faux is one of several bays on the Côte d’Azur

The anchorage, also called “La baie des milliardaires,” lies south of the Pointe de la Garoupe and is enclosed to the west by the southern end of Cap d’Antibes and is undoubtedly one of the quietest and most picturesque places on the stretch of coast between Cannes and Antibes.

The bay has a wide opening to the open sea and its waters can often be subject to swell, so it is advisable to bottom only on days with favorable weather conditions.
In summer and on holidays, the bay is popular with boaters because of its unique beauty.

There are no services or businesses in the immediate vicinity of the bay.
However, proceeding west, about a quarter-hour walk, you can find a few stores, a hotel and a restaurant.
You can also refuel at ports Gallice, south of the port of Saint Juan Les Pins.

Those who land within the bay can enjoy one of the most beautiful views in the area, admiring the vast expanse of vegetation of Cap d’Antibes, interrupted only occasionally by a few villas.

For those coming from land and wanting to arrive near the cove by car, private parking is available one and a half kilometers northwest of the cove.

The heart of the bay until a few years ago was not accessible by land. Instead, the Cap d’Antibes trail has recently been completed, a circular itinerary immersed in the Mediterranean maquis that starts from the villa Eilen Roc and allows you to arrive- turning clockwise- all the way to Antibes, passing by the Pointe de l’Îlette, west of the Anse de l’Argent Faux, admiring one of the most striking views in the area.

The bay also has a small beach, with a concrete platform and stairs to access the sea, which is very quiet but known to those who live in the area.
The small beach is located in the eastern part of the bay, to the left of the Eilen Roc villa.
And from this beautiful town-owned villa access is made to the beach for those coming from land. After continuing in a southerly direction along the avenue Mademoiselle Beaumont, leaving the plage de Galets (of more difficult access) to the right and passing several steps, one finally reaches the plage de l’Argent Faux.

The beauty of the seabed, rich in vegetation and diverse wildlife, makes this bay an ideal destination not only for lovers of tranquility but also for scuba diving enthusiasts.

L’Anse de l’Argent Faux is very close to Antibes and the Gulf of Saint Juan Les Pins and is an excellent starting point to reach all the coastal destinations between Cannes and Nice.
