Bounded in the southeastern part by the รlots de l’Estagnol, the Anse de l’Estagnol is part of the Bay of Breganรงon.
To limit the advance of wild mooring, a phenomenon that affects many locations on the Cรดte d’Azur, the Var department has established an organized mooring area offering fifteen berths and covering a good portion of the central part of the bay.
This inlet is one of the most sheltered in the large bay of Breganรงon, especially in the case of winds from the north, west and northeast.
However, the small bay is open to the south, and where winds of this origin blow, a rather unpleasant wave mode can be created.
Entering the inlet and looking to the right, the famous Fort de Brรฉganรงon can be glimpsed.
The plage de l’Estagnol stretches almost the entire length of the bay, is more than 470 meters long, and offers its visitors a very pleasant setting of fine, pale sand and crystal clear sea. In addition, the beautiful pine forests surrounding the beach provide pleasant shade for the hottest days.
The beach is flat and is easily reached by land even by families with small children because there is parking for cars, motorcycles and bicycles in the immediate vicinity. However, access is via private land, and parking -from March to September and until 7 p.m.- is charged for everyone.
For sportsmen and women, another option for reaching these shores is to rent a kayak at the rental center in La Londe and “paddle” over here.
A restaurant can also be found in the central part of the bay, and toilets and showers are available on the beach.
From the beach there is a beautiful view of Pointe de Lรฉoube, the promontory of Giens, and the island of Porquerolles.
L’Anse de l’Estagnol is the ideal destination for those seeking wild charm and tranquility in the heart of the Cรดte d’Azur.
