La Baie de Pramousquier is a wide inlet located east of Cap Nรจgre and surrounded by the beautiful heights of the Montagne de Faveyrol.
The bay is made up of a series of smaller inlets that are very picturesque and quiet. One of the most popular areas for boaters to anchor is the area at the south end of the bay, east of Cap Nรจgre, at the plage de Pramousquier.
Here one can enjoy good shelter from the mistral and westerly winds, but there is no protection from the easterly and southerly winds.
There are a fair number of private buoys in the bay, which can be used in case they are free.
There is no shortage of space to anchor freely, however.
The Plage de Pramousquier is one of the most beautiful and frequented in the area between Cap Lardier and Cap Benat: not surprisingly, it is very popular with tourists and locals.Divided between the municipalities of Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer and Le Lavandou and is a beautiful wide expanse of sand where you can also find some private bathing establishments to rent equipment such as umbrellas and sunbeds.
The beach can also be reached by land, and there is car parking in the vicinity (which is, however, reserved for customers of the establishments), as well as hotels, bars, and businesses. The beach is unsupervised -even in summer- and has a good number of food outlets and some toilets.
In the event that Pramousquier Bay is affected by strong easterly or southerly winds, one can seek shelter to the west of the bay, in front of the beach du Canadel, although here the number of private buoys is significantly higher and the space for free anchoring much more limited.
The Plage du Canedel is very pretty.
In the eastern part there are mainly free beach areas, while in the eastern part private establishments prevail.
A medical first aid station can be found on the beach.
The Baie de Pramousquier is an excellent starting point to reach the Breganรงon and Cap Taillat areas.
