Rade de la Badine

Located in the southern part of the long promontory of Hyères, the Anchorages de la Badine is a popular area for boaters sailing along the Côte d’Azur

The most suitable area for anchoring is the southern one (near the promontory of Giens), which is well protected from southerly, westerly winds and which also offers a fair amount of shelter from the mistral (in case the wind does not blow too hard). The only danger is the fact that the bay is completely open to the east and, also considering that the seabed tightness is good but not exceptional, in case of easterly currents it is good not to stop here.

As in many other areas of the department, the Var administration has established, at the southern part of the plage de la Badine, a small organized mooring area that can accommodate up to 15 boats.
The plage de la Badine borders the plage de la Bergerie to the north and extends to the promontory of Giens. It is a long, wide expanse of sand, surrounded by beautiful patches of greenery and pine forests that provide nice shade for bathers.

The area is unsupervised, but its proximity to the road, shallow water, and spaciousness make it a popular destination for families, including those with young children.
Free parking can also be found in the area.
A number of eateries are located along the beach, and water sports enthusiasts can find a dedicated windsurfing area here and a channel for those who want to practice water skiing.

From the beach there is a beautiful view of Pointe de la Badine and Porquerolles Island.

Leaving the plage de la Badine and continuing toward the tip of the Giens promontory, one encounters a series of small coves with very quiet little beaches.
Two other beautiful beaches are found along the coast that leads from the plage de la Badine toward the Pointe de La Badine. The first is the plage de l’Estanci, easily accessible from the mainland, little known and very wild. The second is the plage de la Baume, the closest to the Pointe de la Badine, offers nice shade thanks to its pine forests.

La Anchorages de la Badine is the ideal mooring place to enjoy the beauty of the Hyères area in a very airy space.
