The Pinarello anchorage is in the southern part of Corsica, 15 km from Porto Vecchio. The anchorage is in an inlet at Marina di Pinarello, a well-known and well-equipped tourist resort.
The Gulf of Pinarello is bordered to the northeast by the Roscana rocks, to the west by the beach, and to the south by the island of the same name, on whose summit stands an ancient square Genoese tower.
Pinarello Island is uninhabited and reaches a maximum height of 52 meters. Marina di Pinarello is known for its jazz festival held every year in late August. The town is full of stores and restaurants and is a typical, rather crowded seaside resort.
Tourists in these parts are welcomed with great care and are offered the opportunity to engage in any typical recreational activities, starting from sports, scuba diving, sailing schools, excursions, and so on.
The beach has a pine forest behind it, and the sand is white and very fine; the water is very shallow, and you have to walk at least 100 meters before it rises above one meter deep.
A rare thing on the coast of Corsica is the temperature of the water, which is always warm here due to the shelter from cold winds and currents. Also in the anchorages it is very unusual for the sea to be rough, so unless there is a strong wind blowing you are enchanted at all hours.
The seabed is sandy and has a maximum depth of 3-5 meters, however, you have to go quite a distance from the shore. Because of the seabed, boats anchorage rather far off the beach because they cannot get much closer due to the very shallow water.
There is a small jetty on the beach to which boats cannot dock, however, and there is also a boat club and some clubs. There is also an area reserved for nudists.
In this part of Corsica there are many elegant haunts, luxury hotels and stately villas surrounded by greenery. The nature and sea are beautiful, and just a few kilometers away is Porto Vecchio, one of the most renowned resorts on the entire island.
Porto Vecchio boasts the second largest marina after Ajaccio, and there is a boat area surrounded by hills where you can shelter from the wind.
