Rada Santa Giulia is an anchorage area located east of the coast of Corsica. It is a ‘natural inlet that ends in a beautiful beach. Slightly hidden, it is located between Porto Nuovo and Punta d’Acciaio, but very well known for its essentially tourist land profile. There is, in fact, a tourist village that attracts many travelers and tourists every year.
The gulf in which it stretches is undoubtedly beautiful, and its beach reflects the quality of colors and seabed that make Sardinia’s northern coast so famous. It is also true that as a result of limited space, the beach has lost much of its pristine charm over the years due to overcrowding. In addition, this latest tourist onslaught has seen the need for more and more real estate developments that have dulled the naturalistic aspect that made the coastline distinctive.
The system to accommodate boats that decide to land in the anchorage is mainly a system of mooring buoys. Access to this space arranged for pleasure boats is very easy. In fact, there are a series of markers at the access stage of the bay, which one only needs to skirt to find the correct mooring position in respect to the beach.
There are three anchorage categories and divided by boat size. From 14 meters to 20 meters. From 8 meters to 14 meters. And finally, a dedicated buoy space for boats smaller than 8 meters. However, an attendant is available to point out the buoy available to your boat type. Just get in touch with VHF channel 09 and signal yourself when entering the bay.
Rada Santa Giulia has all the characteristics to be considered a good anchorage for sailboats and boats that decide to visit the wonderful beaches of the inlet. Not to be considered an isolated area. More suitable for those seeking bathing spaces and lively stretches of sea.
