Sant’Amanza Mooring buoys can accommodate 15 yachts from 24 to 75 meters in length and are located in the heart of the Mouths of Bonifacio Nature Reserve.
12 buoys for boats up to 24 meters
3 buoys for boats up to 60 meters
1 buoy for boats up to 75 meters
A prefectural decree regulating the anchorages of boats longer than 24 meters within the perimeter of the Mouths of Bonifacio Nature Reserve was implemented in 2020, a regulation that has now been extended to the entire Corsica.
The goal is to protect the marine ecosystem and limit physical damage to sensitive marine habitats such as posidonia meadows.
The experience of the Port of Bonifacio Marina has enabled the installation of 15 mooring buoys in the Gulf of Sant’Amanza. These ecological moorings provide boaters with safe and reasoned access to a protected area. This project, widely supported by the scientific community, is intended to permanently preserve an area of 60 hectares.
