The small beach of Giardinelli, also known as the beach of the Head of the Octopus (in Maddalena dialect Capocchia du Purpu) has this name because of the huge rock that dominates it, resembling precisely an octopus head.
It is located in the locality of Isoleddu, a merifional area of the island of La Maddalena.
It has always been likened to a natural swimming pool, thanks to the crystal-clear sea that washes the fine, whitewashed sands of this little beach.
A true Caribbean corner.
Near this natural paradaiso are other coves, popular destinations for many tourists and boaters.
Boats with a draft of 2 meters or more must anchor outside the cove.
