Cala Goloritzé – Sardegna

A national monument

About three kilometers from Cape Monte Santu, after passing Punta Goloritzè and Punta Caroddi, is Cala Goloritzé, so beautiful that it was declared an Italian National Monument in 1995. There are many special features of this bay such as the beach formed by a myriad of tiny white marble pebbles, the pinnacle called Aguglia 143m high and the natural arch that opens on the right side of the bay. In addition, from a ravine among the rocks within the beach, there is a spring of fresh water that flows into the sea from underground.

Since 2007, the shoreline near the beach 200 m from the shore has been completely closed to motor boat traffic to preserve the beach from pollution and the onslaught of tourists.
