Cala Mortorio

Cala Mortorio is a small cove on Mortorio Island. Precisely located in the southeast of the La Maddalena Archipelago, about two miles from the coast located between Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo. The entire area has been defined, in its own right, as belonging to the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. It turns out, as a result, to be a protected area subject to the environmental safeguard regulations.

The island is a popular tourist destination, especially by the boats of enthusiasts who tread the sea of the Straits of Bonifacio. This cove is referred to by many as the Sardinians’ cove, because of the incredible tourist prestige it delivers to the entire area of the coast.

The granite structure of the island famous for its spectacular cliffs is rich in unspoiled and uninhabited vistas. All are rich in vegetation in the concentration of its hinterland, capable of offering a mountainousness of more than 77 meters from sea level.

Boats that decide to moor in this Sardinian cove seek maximum tranquility and natural wonders away from commercial tourist contamination. In fact, everything in the area is unspoiled. The only amenities are the sea at their disposal and depths full of splendors, all to be discovered.

Space within the cove is good but not very large. Optimal to accommodate pleasure boats and sailboats, for a number not exceeding 50. Obviously, the area is off limits to cruise ships or tourist boats. It is obviously not set up for a people loading and unloading area.

Cala Mortorio is a handkerchief of paradise granted on earth, located in the wonders of northern Sardinia. Looking towards Corsica, it enjoys an unforgettable, calm sea. Capable of lulling moored boats and easy to please the desires of the most difficult tourists. Between the incredible seabed, the protected and unspoiled landscape, it is called by many the Italian Bahamas.
