Golfo di Cagliari, Poetto

The Gulf of Poetto is a marina located southeast of the same locality. Poetto is considered by many to be more like a neighborhood and is located in the western stretch of the strip between the beach, which serves as the main attraction of the area, and the Molentargius salt pans.

Poetto beach is counted among the most beautiful beaches in the Cagliari area, both in terms of extent and beauty in the coastal landscape.

The surface is characterized by a banked elbowed breakwater pier that protects it with its length of no less than 300 meters. Finally, it is encircled by a sub-billow pier that terminates with a very large forebay and offers a number of floating docks within it for mooring boats.

Moreover, Poetto is the protagonist of a thriving tourist and bathing activity with great fame especially for its nightlife. In fact, it is famous among young Cagliari residents who assault its beach and sea not only in the summer period. In fact, there are many activities organized especially from June to September. Karaoke, disco and now famous live music events.

In addition, the tourist life of the beach and the wonderful mooring facilities dedicated to the boats that numerous reach the cove give the area a justified charm.

Continued access to the gulf requires caution. Such as the requirement to proceed with caution and at minimum speed, always keeping to the right centerline of the mouth. Also, it is helpful to know that the sand and seaweed bottom offers limited draft at the mouth.

The 350 berths, 35 of which are dedicated to transit, give the Poetto inlet, great reliability and continuous traffic especially in high season.

The Gulf of Poetto is an excellent mooring for pleasure boats that want to enjoy the perfect blend of tourism and entertainment offered by the location. A perfect combination of sea life and vacation, in one of Sardinia‘s most characteristic settings.
