La Colba

La Colba is a beach on Sardinia that stretches from the northern tip of the island, for the Santa Reparata stretch of coastline. In the part, characterized, by the settlement of numerous tourist facilities. The whole area has a very special geo-territorial structure.

In fact, the entire area from Rena Majori to Capo Testa is characterized by a set of rocky coastlines of eroded origin, which are interspersed with beautiful coves and beaches.

La Colba beach is beautiful and famous for its very clear and soft sand. The inlet is not very wide and is characterized by a setting that frames it in a sometimes wild nature. The sea is crystal clear and transparent with a seabed that tends to thin out towards the width of it.

Highly traveled, especially in high season, the beach is often crowded. It still manages to provide a good berth for the pleasure boats that choose the beach as a bathing destination, thanks in part to the services there such as bars, restaurants, stores, and hotels. The latter have encroached on an entire side in recent years, to the disapproval of beachgoers.

The beach bottom is not known for its anchoring reliability. Particularly limited in stability, it requires some familiarity on the part of boats that decide to stop in the area. Therefore, cautious, English-style anchoring with other boats is recommended, partly because of the wave motion, which can often be adventurous.

Precisely because of the winds that characterize its stretch, there are many sailboats that decide to take advantage of the currents to enjoy greater racing performance. Obviously off the beach and with special attention of the wave motion that especially in some periods can reserve surprises.

La Colba is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in northern Sardinia. Counted for its fascinating scenery and the beauty of its colors, it offers a good beach life and attraction from the pleasure boats that choose it as their destination.
