Description

Close to Porto Palau and theLa Maddalena Archipelago, bordered to the west by the semi-island of Isola dei Gabbiani and to the east by Punta Sardinia, the Porto Polloanchorage is one of the most picturesque inlets in northern Sardinia.

Because of its natural conformation, the bay is swept by many winds but offers good sheltering points, especially in the southeastern part, the innermost. Almost no area is well sheltered from the north wind, however.

The anchorage offers various anchorage and mooring options for those who wish to stop here with their boats.

In the southwestern part of the bay, at the Angolo Azzurro beach, you can find a buoy field, run by the “Orza Minore” sailing school, reserved for boats not exceeding 15 meters in length, with a total of 51 berths. A shuttle service is also offered here from the buoy field to the beach and vice versa, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The school also offers launching or hauling services.

Just north of the buoy field, in the body of water adjacent to the center of Porto Pollo, is the private, lighted and video-monitored Nino wharf, which is operated by the nearby Le Dune hotel and can accommodate up to 18 boats at a time, with a depth of seabed ranging from 80 centimeters to 1.50 meters at the dock, so mooring is reserved for dinghies and small boats. Here there is good shelter from west and southwest winds, but no shelter from easterly, grecale and sirocco winds.

Dinghies and boats can also be rented here.

Alternatively, one can anchor in the southeastern part of the bay, east of the islet that lies in the center of the inlet. As you go deeper into the small inlet to the east, the seabed becomes shallower (reaching up to 3 meters) and access is recommended only for boats with a shallow draft.

Another jetty belonging to a boat club is located in the extreme eastern part of the bay, near Costa Serena beach, and offers drinking water distribution facilities and columns for electricity supply.

The bay of Porto Pollo is an ‘oasis of crystal-clear sea, blending with the rocks, the grainy, very clear sand, and the surrounding vegetation, and perfectly blending tranquility and entertainment, satisfying everyone’s tastes.

The anchorage is also popular with water sports enthusiasts, such as kitesurfing and windsurfing, and those who wish to take sailing lessons.

There are numerous sailing clubs, schools and equipment rental outlets for practicing these activities, especially in the isthmus area of the island “Isuledda” (the island of the Seagulls), the area most affected by the winds. Camping and various kinds of commercial activities can also be found here.

Even in the central area of Porto Pollo, you can find numerous overnight accommodations, restaurants, bars, and stores.
The Costa Serena area offers a vacation village, a restaurant, bars, and a mini market, as well as a beautiful beach.

But Porto Pollo’s anchorage certainly has no shortage of beaches: from Padula Piatta beach in the south to Piscine beach-moreopen and wilder to the east, via the northern beach of Isola dei Gabbiani, visitors landing here will be spoiled for choice.

Do you need to sell your boat? You are in the right place! Tuttobarche.it is in fact the largest online portal on recreational boating and in this section you will be able to write your ad for free if you want to sell your boat. Adding a new sales message is very simple and intuitive as is finding a boat you are interested in buying, but to make your listing even more appealing, we want to give you some general but important pointers that you can follow if you wish.

First of all, try to personalize your ad, describing the history of the boat and perhaps the reason why you are selling it, this way you will gain more trust from the reader.

You can call it “half-new” if it is almost new, or “used” by specifying whether or not it is in good condition. It indicates the condition of the engines, the year of registration, how many owners it has had-most importantly, it indicates whether the boat has been owned by a single owner: it increases interest to those reading the ad.

The goodness of your craft must shine through in your message, because before you can convince someone, you yourself must be convinced that the product is good.

It is important that no spelling errors are made in the advertisement, so reread the message well before putting it online. The language then must be clear and simple, understandable to all.

It serves to attract interest and induce the reader to continue reading; it is the most important part and should summarize in one line the whole message we want to give. Unfortunately, you don’t have much chance to stand out much except with something really original to attract attention. So focus on truly original details of the boat, its real qualities: in the Tuttobarche.it portal this brief summary will appear by hovering over the picture of the boat with the mouse.

It is important to clearly include the general record of the vessel. Always enter: shipyard, model, length, width, draft, engines, number of cabins, year of construction, price.

In the boat sheet accurately enter all boat details, standard and extra equipment. It is useful to communicate many details and details for those who are really interested and will continue reading beyond the first few lines.

Suggest to the reader who wants to buy the best features of your craft, and do not indicate-unless it is necessary to inform the buyer in advance-information that might negatively influence the reader.

Always indicate the price. Unless you absolutely do not want to deal, we recommend adding the words “price negotiable” which gives an incentive for the buyer to contact you.
