Valle Muria Bay is a wide inlet on the SO coast surrounded by high colorful cliffs. It is a good anchorage sheltered from NE winds.
When accessing it, one must watch out for the shoal located at the S end of the bend. One must also watch out for the sirocco that descends violently from the slopes of the mountain although it fails to make the sea swell.
It is possible to approach less than 40m from land and give bottom in 5m of water. The bottom is sandy and holds the anchor well.
