Many tourists reach this beautiful location by boat, dropping anchor and mooring in anchorages to then enjoy a sea and nature that only a region like Tuscany can offer.
The cove is located in the Bandite di Scarlino Nature Reserve, in the Maremma region of Grosseto.

The cove is enclosed between two promontories. Punta Francese is the name of the promontory that separates Cala Martina and Cala Violina.
History tells us that on September 2, 1849, from this bay himself, Giuseppe Garibaldi, in order not to be caught by the French Guards, embarked on a fishing boat headed for Porto Venere. Along the path leading to the beach is a monument.
