Arriva lo Swan 50. Il sogno di ogni armatore regatante

Buone notizie per gli “orfani” dello Swan 45, una delle barche più belle degli ultimi quindici anni. Bella, veloce e di un’eleganza di cui solo Frers era capace, ha fatto innamorare noi e molti altri velisti nel mondo. Nautor ha annunciato la nascita del nuovo Swan 50 e della relativa classe per regatare in monotipia. Come è stato per il 45, seguirà le regole dell’armatore/timoniere.

Il 50 è stato progettato da Juan Kouyoumdjian, lo stesso dei VOR 70, Groupama 4, Ericsson 4 e Amro 1, nonché del maxi Rambler 88 varato pochi mesi fa. Ha i bordi liberi bassi, la poppa larga, la tuga affilata, la prua reversa e un look indiscutibilmente da Swan. Sempre in sintonia con quella che fu la filosofia del 45, il 50 è stato progettato per essere velocemente convertito dall’assetto da regata pura a quello per una crociera veloce. Il sogno di ogni papà/armatore dall’animo sportivo.

Ha la doppia pala del timone e costruzione in carbonio, per scafo e albero. Il peso è contenuto a 8.500 kg per una superficie velica di bolina di 142 mq e 296 alle portanti. All’interno un layout veramente “corsaiolo”: due cabine di cui l’armatoriale a prua. Il bagno è uno, con box doccia separato.
