Mercury Racing lancia il nuovo fuoribordo V10 400R: un altro livello di potenza

Mercury V10 400RMercury Racing presenta una nuova generazione di fuoribordo ad alte prestazioni: V10 400R, progettato specificamente per alimentare barche e catamarani con console centrale a velocità ben oltre i 65 nodi.

Il V10 400R offre più potenza e una gamma di giri più elevata rispetto a qualsiasi altro fuoribordo della sua categoria, oltre a una serie di caratteristiche esclusive che migliorano ulteriormente l’esperienza di pilotaggio di un motoscafo ad alte prestazioni Wide Open.

“Il team Mercury Racing ha creato un degno successore del leggendario fuoribordo L6 400R” – ha affermato Stuart Halley, direttore generale di Mercury Racing – “Il V10 400R offre più coppia ai bassi regimi, più potenza di picco e un migliore risparmio di carburante rispetto al L6. Il nuovo V10 400R offre le potenti prestazioni e la guidabilità che solo Mercury Racing può offrire”.

Mercury Racing V10 400R: più aria uguale più potenza

Mercury V10 400RIl propulsore V10 Mercury Racing 400R da 5,7 litri si basa sulla collaudata architettura di design del modello Mercury Racing 300R V8 da 4,6 litri, ed è dotato di un gruppo motore a 64 gradi. Questo motore fuoribordo è versatile ed è disponibile in quattro lunghezze – 20″, 25″, 30″ e 35″ – per adattarsi a qualsiasi applicazione con motore singolo o multiplo ad alte prestazioni.

Il design Mercury Racing Quad Cam Four Valve (QC4) presenta doppi alberi a camme in testa e testate in alluminio a quattro valvole per cilindro, un corpo farfallato da 92 mm, iniezione indiretta sequenziale multipoint ed un sistema di aspirazione naturale, senza ausilio di compressore, per massimizzarne il flusso d’aria e la potenza.

L’esclusivo corpo farfallato è azionato da un servomotore progettato per produrre una risposta istantanea dell’acceleratore, mentre un sensore di pressione del carburante assicura un’alimentazione più precisa in fase di accelerazione, migliorando ulteriormente la risposta della manetta.

Anche il regime di rotazione è stato innalzato, arrivando fino a 6600 giri/min.

A ciò si aggiunge l’esclusivo Mercury Racing Advanced MidSection (AMS) che grazie ad una robusta piastra heavy duty e supporti rinforzati messi a punto per stabilizzare il propulsore, consente di ottenere una migliore manovrabilità ad alte velocità. La combinazione di queste caratteristiche offre un’esperienza di guida unica e regolare a tutte le velocità.

Opzioni personalizzate e tecnologia dedicata

Mercury V10 400R dispone poi di due opzioni di piede: Sport Master e Mercury Racing 5.44 HD.

Il primo, Sport Master è destinato a barche in grado di superare i 74 nodi: presenta prese d’acqua basse e profilo a ‘siluro’ per massimizzare la velocità e l’efficienza.

Il secondo, Mercury Racing 5.44 HD è l’ideale per barche pesanti e multiple, che richiedono un piede più sommersa e che necessitano di una maggiore spinta.

Entrambe le opzioni presentano un rapporto di trasmissione di 1,60:1 e , sempre per entrambe, è disponibile una selezione di eliche Mercury Racing dalle prestazioni comprovate, inclusa una nuova serie di eliche Ventera a quattro pale da 15” di diametro.

Il fuoribordo V10 400R di Mercury Racing offre anche la precisione di Digital Throttle and Shift (DTS) e può essere allestito con i comandi Mercury Racing Digital Zero Effort: tecnologia di controllo adattivo della velocità  he permette al motore di mantenere il regime anche quando il carico cambia a causa delle condizioni del mare o delle manovre di virata.

Questo fuoribordo è dotato di un potente alternatore da 150 A, servosterzo elettroidraulico e opzione di sistema di guida elettrica standard con JPO (Joystick Piloting for Outboards). Supporta inoltre tutte le tecnologie Mercury SmartCraft, incluso il sistema di monitoraggio Engine Guardian e i display multifunzione VesselView: soluzioni tecnologiche  che Mercury Racing offre ai suoi clienti in una vasta gamma di opzioni, pensate per sfruttarne al meglio le prestazioni.

Anche l’occhio vuole la sua parte e per soddisfare i clienti più esigenti sono disponibili due colorazioni per il modello Mercury Racing V10 400R: Phantom Black o Cold Fusion White, rifiniti con grafica Mercury Racing e finiture Devil Eye Red. Per i diportisti che pianificano un’applicazione di verniciatura personalizzata, la V10 400R è disponibile anche “pronta per la verniciatura” in Phantom Black senza grafica applicata o pannello di rivestimento.
