Club Náutico Ciutadella was founded on April 12, 1923. It was born from the enthusiasm of a group of people to form and establish a sports and social club with the aim of promoting nautical sports and culture.
Today, with 90 years of history behind it, the Yacht Club is still a living club, both in sports and socially, thanks to the valuable cooperation of the 650 members currently held by the entity

The efforts of the first presidents in sports led to enthusiasm among young people for water sports, particularly sailing. During its 90-year history, the club has amassed a prestigious list of winners among its sailors, both regionally, nationally and internationally.
The growing predilection for the sport of sailing has prompted the organization of several top-level championships such as the Spain Snipe Cup in 1975, the Spain Championship in Snipe in 1977, the Copa Spain Optimist Trophy Prince Philip in 1978 Championship of Snipe World in the junior category in 1980, the Spanish Mediterranean Cruise and Spanish Optimist Championships in 1981, the Spanish Cruise Cup in 1986, the Optimist Spain Cup in 1990, the Optimist World Championship in 1993, Optimist Spain Cup in 1996, and the Platú 25 Spain Cup in 2012.
