Club Nàutico Portixol

In 1928 a group of friends and neighbors is Portitxol in slum palmesana is Molinar, whose passion was to go fishing “roquer” combine their efforts and hopes to found the Club Nàutic Portitxol. It is Don Gabriel Carbonell who manages the legalization and high delusions of the local authorities, having been named honorary president, helping the first nine members of this club. They were difficult and complicated year with a civil war through but thanks to the efficient management and with all the enthusiasm in the world is in 1951, when we take a step forward and on the ground floor of what is now our headquarters is built.

It was in the decade of the 1970s and 1980s that the club grew through new administrative concepts and the annexation of land extending to the mouth of the Na Bàrbara creek. The marshes were built significantly increased the number of moorings and partnered La Vela at its peak achieving several champions in Mallorca, Balearic Islands and in Europe. Since then and thanks to this group of entrepreneurial partners who one day made a dream, today about to turn ninety years of existence, being one of the oldest clubs in the Balearic Islands. Our idea of a family and a sports club must continue to be our reason for being, so we must continue to work for them.
