Description

Port de Soller is a landing place located in the northwestern part of the Majorcan coast in the Balearic Islands Islands archipelago.

It is a natural port, located in the comerca of Sierra de Tramontana (whose capital is Calviร ), which stretches along the northern coast of the island.

The port is located about three kilometers from the center of Soller and can accommodate up to 465 boats, which have a length of no more than 15 meters and a draft of no more than 3 meters.
The port offers its customers the possibility of refueling with drinking water and electricity at the dock. In addition, there is a workshop area in the harbor for boat maintenance and repairs, with a crane that can lift up to a total weight of 12 tons, a slipway, an access ramp, and a gray water collection system.

Other berths in the port area, however, are managed by the Marina Tramontana nautical club, which houses about 64 berths, for boats between 12 and 40 meters in length. During the peak season there is the possibility- upon request- to moor boats of longer lengths, up to 60 meters.

This boat club offers water and electricity at the dock, 24H boatmaster’s office, boat maintenance and cleaning services, clothing with showers and toilets, wifi internet access a postal service and a laundry service.
In addition, the area includes a fueling station (open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) and a bar, open only during the high season during evening hours.

By land, the Port de Soller area can be reached either by car (then leaving the car in one of the parking lots there) or by public transportation, thanks to the streetcar line.
In the immediate vicinity of the port area you can easily find hotels, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, banks and businesses.
In addition, also nearby you can find agencies that organize excursions along the Sierra Tramuntana trails, or rent bikes and segways.

Also in the immediate vicinity of the landing place is Port de Soller beach, which is about 800 meters long, made up of gravel and sand and has normally calm waters.
It is a municipally run beach, located next to the port and also easily accessible from the city center. It is also accessible to people with mobility disabilities, making it a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The beach offers public showers, a lifeguard tower and the possibility of renting nautical equipment, or umbrellas and deck chairs.

Not far from Port de Soller is Platja d’en Repic, also located on the Soller waterfront. It is a beach about 200 meters long and 20 meters wide, always composed of sand and gravel and with calm waters.
Its central location with respect to the town, its easy accessibility and its good size make it a fairly popular beach with locals and outsiders alike.
As on the port beach, it is also possible here to rent nautical equipment, find toilets and showers and a lifeguard service. The presence of access ramps, also makes it possible for people with mobility disabilities to frequent the beach.

Port de Soller is about 30 kilometers from Palma de Mallorca.
Surrounding the port area are the Museo del Mare (located in the former oratory of Santa Catarina, dating back to the 12th century) and the Picada Tower-built during the 16th century to defend the area from pirate and privateer invasions.

In 2011 Sierra de Tramontana was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its naturalistic importance. The highest peak of the Sierra is the 1436-meter-high Puig Major mountain.

Do you need to sell your boat? You are in the right place! yachtdigest.com is in fact the largest online portal on recreational boating and in this section you will be able to write your ad for free if you want to sell your boat. Adding a new sales message is very simple and intuitive as is finding a boat you are interested in buying, but to make your listing even more appealing, we want to give you some general but important pointers that you can follow if you wish.

First of all, try to personalize your ad, describing the history of the boat and perhaps the reason why you are selling it, this way you will gain more trust from the reader.

You can call it “half-new” if it is almost new, or “used” by specifying whether or not it is in good condition. It indicates the condition of the engines, the year of registration, how many owners it has had-most importantly, it indicates whether the boat has been owned by a single owner: it increases interest to those reading the ad.

The goodness of your craft must shine through in your message, because before you can convince someone, you yourself must be convinced that the product is good.

It is important that no spelling errors are made in the advertisement, so reread the message well before putting it online. The language then must be clear and simple, understandable to all.

It serves to attract interest and induce the reader to continue reading; it is the most important part and should summarize in one line the whole message we want to give. Unfortunately, you don’t have much chance to stand out much except with something really original to attract attention. So focus on truly original details of the boat, its real qualities: in the yachtdigest.com portal this brief summary will appear by hovering over the picture of the boat with the mouse.

It is important to clearly include the general record of the vessel. Always enter: shipyard, model, length, width, draft, engines, number of cabins, year of construction, price.

In the boat sheet accurately enter all boat details, standard and extra equipment. It is useful to communicate many details and details for those who are really interested and will continue reading beyond the first few lines.

Suggest to the reader who wants to buy the best features of your craft, and do not indicate-unless it is necessary to inform the buyer in advance-information that might negatively influence the reader.

Always indicate the price. Unless you absolutely do not want to deal, we recommend adding the words “price negotiable” which gives an incentive for the buyer to contact you.
