Puerto Deportivo de Cala Ratjada

Puerto Deportivo de Cala Ratjada is located in the northeastern part of the island of Majorca, in the municipality of Capdepera.

It is part of an old fishing port nucleus, which has been renovated and adapted to the needs of modern yachting since the 1960s.
Also located within the port area is the Club Náutico de Cala Ratjada, a sailing club founded in 1975.

The ports are publicly owned. There are 215 berths within the port area and they are managed partly by the Government of the Balearic Islands and partly (more precisely, to the tune of 85) by Club Náutico de Cala Ratjada.
Of these berths, fourteen are reserved for passing boaters.
The parking of boats longer than 12 meters is always along the publicly managed pier.
The length allowed for boats entering the port is between 4 and 18 meters.

At the mouth of the harbor, the draft is 7 meters, while it decreases in the dock, accommodating only vessels with a draft between 1.80 and 4 meters.
Wavy motions from the south and southeast can make mooring difficult, even going so far as to impair access to the harbor.

Its convenient location to the neighboring island of Menorca makes it a popular port all year round, especially in the summer season.

The port of Cala Ratjada offers a security service, a laundry and a fire-fighting service.
There are electricity and water supply columns on the docks, and boaters passing through here can use showers and toilets.
Inside the port area there is a ‘ repair shop, a fueling station and a crane for lifting boats.

In addition, there is car parking for those arriving by car.

The Capitaneria de Palma de Mallorca issues three daily weather bulletins: at 9:20 a.m., 11:20 a.m. and 9:20 p.m.

A ferryboat also departs from the port of Cala Ratjada with destination Menorca. In the immediate vicinity of the landing you can find hotels, bars restaurants, a veterinary clinic and a few supermarkets.

Cala Ratjada is located in the Capdepera area, an area full of very picturesque beaches with different characteristics.

The closest beach to Cala Ratjada is Son Mol, which is less than a kilometer from the port.
It is about 150 meters long, sandy and easily accessible from the mainland.
It is generally crowded in the summertime both because of its convenient access by land and because of the many boaters who give anchorage near the beach.
At Son Mol it is possible to use toilets and showers, rent sunbeds and umbrellas. In addition, there is also a kiosk-bar on the beach.

Not far from Cala Ratjada is also the beach of Cala Gat (more “wild” and with fewer services available nearby) surrounded by tamarinds and crystal clear sea.
The waters in front of the cove are a coveted destination for boaters to give fonda.

The whole area is part of the Reserva Marina Llevante de Mallorca, so it is good to find out about anchoring, diving and fishing regulations.

An interesting méta for those stopping in the ports of Cala Ratjada is that of the Capdepera Lighthouse, located on the tip of the same name, less than two kilometers from the port area. From here it is possible to enjoy a beautiful panorama of the area.

In the surroundings of Puerto Deportivo de Cala Ratjada it is possible to find archaeological sites and traces of civilizations from the Talayotic era.
In addition, the low elevations of the Muntanyes de Sos Sastres allow hiking enthusiasts to take pleasant walks.
