Campania ports in the Gulf of Naples
The Marina di Stabia port was born in the center of the Gulf of Naples between Torre Annunziata and Castellammare di Stabia at the same distance from the islands of Capri Ischia and Procida.
The marina is divided into two areas, divided by a strip of land, which separates on one side the technical area enclosing a dockyard with two slipways, a slipway, an area for shipbuilding, and boat storage, and on the other side the marina proper with depths ranging from 4 to 9 meters.
The port has 900 berths against a backdrop of rare beauty with Vesuvius and Mount Faito surrounding the Marina.
The location and mild climate make it possible to experience the charm of the sea, even in winter. Being close to enchanting places such as Capri Amalfi Positano Sorrento, being able to easily reach the Pontine Islands or the Aeolian Islands, and offering high quality services, makes mooring pleasant even for the most pretentious boaters.
Marina di Stabia, in addition to the allure of the sea, gives the opportunity to travel in a short time to the famous archaeological areas of Pompeii Castellamare di Stabia and Herculaneum, or to enjoy the wonderful spectacle of the Gulf of Naples from the peaks of Mount Vesuvius or Mount Faito, which can be reached in a few minutes by funicular.
The Marina also features a yachting club with a restaurant overlooking the sea, bar, swimming pool, and a meeting point for leisure time.
In the restaurant you can taste typical local products and Campanian cuisine, especially lemons, Sorrento limoncello, paccheri from Gragnano, and the violet artichoke from Castellamare di Stabia.
In addition, a new and well-equipped Boatyard with two slipways for boats even larger than 40 m. 220-ton travel lift, with the capacity to meet customers’ needs. All this is due to the skill and seriousness of the Aprea brothers of Sorrento.
Fratelli Aprea Srl is a company created in 1890 by a family that still works in the name of tradition and quality of shipwrights. The Aprea brothers follow the technical direction today, thanks to the family tradition handed down by their father Franco and uncles, and before that by grandfather Cataldo and his brothers, great-grandfather Giovanni and more than a century ago, by great-great-grandfather Cataldo, the family’s first shipwright, the one who dictated the guidelines for the creation of a symbol of craftsmanship and charm, namely, the Sorrentine gozzo.
The Boatyard was built in 2007 and covers an area of 60,000 square meters including 9,000 square meters of covered area and 51,000 square meters of maneuvering and parking yards; it provides a dock equipped with moorings and services for boats up to 50 meters
The Shipyard’s success depends on total assistance, quality of work, and the helpfulness and expertise of the staff.
