Campania ports – Gulf of Naples
Consisting of a breakwater and a breakwater (docked piers), one of the busiest and best-equipped port facilities on the Campania coast, the port of Castellammare di Stabia has a water surfacearea of 420,000m2.
To date, the port’s main use is to facilitate commercial and transport vessel traffic, fishing boats and tourist vessels.
It is the third largest port in Campania, after Salerno and Naples, and has shipyards for servicing, repairing and maintaining large boats.
Commercial port, shipping and Fishing Area
The largest area of the landing is reserved for commercial-type activities and consists of 2 piers on the sea and a quay along the coast.
A modest area, located just in front of the entrance to the commercial area, is instead dedicated to maritime transport.
Ferries to Capri and the Pontine Islands and the island of Ischia depart from here.
Acqua della Madonna is the northern part of the port for small fishermen’s boats and small fishing boats.
