Description

The port of Cetara is located near the city of Salerno and is one of the last ports of call on the Amalfi Coast.

The port consists of a quay with a breakwater about 140 meters long and a 250-meter breakwater consisting of two arms.

The landing place is mainly occupied by the small boats of local residents and fishing boats. A number of floating docks, operated by a municipal service company, are set up from May to September and are the only authorized landing place for pleasure boats in summer.
During the rest of the year, landing is allowed instead at the first part of the breakwater pier. A series of explanatory signs placed near the dock, on the other hand, regulates the stay in the port, indicating what types of boats can stay there.

Access to the port is facilitated by the presence of two beacons, a red one located at the end of the breakwater pier and a green one placed at the top of the breakwater pier
Inside the port area one can also find a parking lot for cars and a grocery store.
In summer it is difficult to find berths inside de port because of the number of berths not being very high.
In any case, it is possible to stay at anchor behind the dock, provided the weather conditions are favorable and there is no sirocco wind. From here you can easily get to the ports beach with your tender.

The beach adjacent to the port is small and pretty, and the village, made up of white houses and square-shaped buildings, seems set between the sea and the backdrop of Mount Falerio. In summer, it is possible to rent sunbeds, deckchairs and umbrellas at local bathing establishments.
Around the port you can find bars, restaurants and stores.

Cetara began as a small fishing village and still retains much of this character. This seafaring village vocation makes it a very interesting destination to visit even in winter
The historic center is small and quiet. Evidence of thirteenth-century architecture-such as the bifurcated bell tower-indicates the town’s glorious medieval past.

The port of Cetara is an excellent starting point for reaching all the other locations on the Amalfi Coast. Only two miles of navigation divide Cetara from Salerno, while Agropoli-one of the first landings on the Cilento Coast-is about 24 miles away .

The port is also an excellent starting point to reach the many bays and small beaches in the surrounding area, such as that of Marina di Erchie.
The seabed around Cetara will undoubtedly make diving enthusiasts happy.
In the area ofPunta Fuenti, at a depth of 10 meters, it is possible to admire the remains of an ancient Roman private landing place, which is in an excellent state of preservation.

The port of Cetara is an excellent port of call for those who want to enjoy the beauty of the Amalfi Coast without sacrificing tranquility.

Do you need to sell your boat? You are in the right place! yachtdigest.com is in fact the largest online portal on recreational boating and in this section you will be able to write your ad for free if you want to sell your boat. Adding a new sales message is very simple and intuitive as is finding a boat you are interested in buying, but to make your listing even more appealing, we want to give you some general but important pointers that you can follow if you wish.

First of all, try to personalize your ad, describing the history of the boat and perhaps the reason why you are selling it, this way you will gain more trust from the reader.

You can call it “half-new” if it is almost new, or “used” by specifying whether or not it is in good condition. It indicates the condition of the engines, the year of registration, how many owners it has had-most importantly, it indicates whether the boat has been owned by a single owner: it increases interest to those reading the ad.

The goodness of your craft must shine through in your message, because before you can convince someone, you yourself must be convinced that the product is good.

It is important that no spelling errors are made in the advertisement, so reread the message well before putting it online. The language then must be clear and simple, understandable to all.

It serves to attract interest and induce the reader to continue reading; it is the most important part and should summarize in one line the whole message we want to give. Unfortunately, you don’t have much chance to stand out much except with something really original to attract attention. So focus on truly original details of the boat, its real qualities: in the yachtdigest.com portal this brief summary will appear by hovering over the picture of the boat with the mouse.

It is important to clearly include the general record of the vessel. Always enter: shipyard, model, length, width, draft, engines, number of cabins, year of construction, price.

In the boat sheet accurately enter all boat details, standard and extra equipment. It is useful to communicate many details and details for those who are really interested and will continue reading beyond the first few lines.

Suggest to the reader who wants to buy the best features of your craft, and do not indicate-unless it is necessary to inform the buyer in advance-information that might negatively influence the reader.

Always indicate the price. Unless you absolutely do not want to deal, we recommend adding the words “price negotiable” which gives an incentive for the buyer to contact you.
