Port de Solenzara is a marina located southwest of the mouth of the Solenzara River. The port is protected by an elbow pier and a breakwater reef. It has inside it floating docks for 450 berths for 30-meter-long boats with limited draft.
The ports offers its guests water and electricity supply, a gas station, and a supermarket.
A telephone repeater at the end of the Quai d’Arment and a 10-m pole with a light result to help locate the ports. Coming from the Golfo de Porto Vecchio to the south, Golfo San Ciprianu and Golfo Pinarellu and other small bays can be spotted on the coast. Conspicuous points are the tower on Ile et Pointe de Fautรฉa and Anse de Favone surrounded by houses. Also noticeable on approach are the buildings behind the ports. Arriving from the north conspicuous points are the Alistro lighthouse set on top of a small hill, a tower set within the mouth of the Tavignano River, and the Solenzara military air base. Pass at least 500 meters from shore in the vicinity of the military base to avoid the rocky shallows. A few white buoys and a cardinal light buoy mark the area closed to boating near the pipeline terminal located about 700 meters off Solenzara.
To enter ports, make course toward the head of the East Pier and then squeeze right into the entrance channel, paying attention to the presence of isolated rocks midway between the two East Piers marked by red buoys. Entry is difficult in strong southeast winds. It is recommended to enter the ports during the day. To moor, approach the South dock and wait for instructions from the harbormaster.
The village of Solenzara has long beaches of fine sand arranged throughout its territory from north to south. Of note is the he beach of Canella located in a cove, and the beach of Favona which marks the border of the municipality in addition to the beaches of Scaffa Rossa, Solaro, Tarco and Fautea.
The hinterland characterized by valleys and hills is rich in hiking trails and boasts a diverse fauna and flora. Along the route of the Solenzara River, which originates from the Aiguilles de Bavella, one can find wild places within the maquis with freshwater pools and natural slides carved into the rock.
