Porto di Cannes Vieux Port

The ports of Cannes represents one of the oldest parts in the famous French Riviera city. The ports is southeast of the famous Le Suquet, representing a strategic point in terms of tourism. In fact, from the port, it is possible to access the old part of the city center and the more touristy profile of Allèes de la Libertè with its avenue known for shopping and prestigious storefronts.

The ports have a capacity of nearly 800 berths, of which more than 250 devoted exclusively to short-term stays and offers the opportunity to enjoy a review of luxury yachts. Notable are the boats and prestigious boats of celebrities, especially on the nearby Antibes coast at the headquarters of the International Yacht Club.

Beyond the prestigious review of boats, the port also offers trips and excursions to the Lèrins Islands, through the use of tourist boats to serve and propagandize the famous French Riviera. In addition, the ancient ports of Cannes, also hosts in September the automobile show and gives an annual fireworks display.

Such a world-famous show attracts to the ports, the most prestigious boats, attracting more than 200,00 visitors each season. But the port, besides its notoriously touristy and glittering profile, also possesses its own efficient functionality to the most advanced naval activities.

In fact, the pier is also able to berth large ships, for the purpose of unloading goods, thus staying away from the seaside shores. All this, thanks to a pier that boasts 150 meters of extension and a quay that is 300 meters in length by almost 20 meters wide.

This capacity and the presence of a shipbuilding workshop capable of hosting yachts measuring between 10 and 50 meters, also allows the port of Cannes to host the famous Royal Regattas. Big billboard maritime event, which takes place every year, during the last week of September.

The port of Cannes is among the flagships of the French Riviera, and from its construction in 1838 to the present, it remains one of the most prestigious naval facilities for all the world’s vessels. From racing ships a show boats, through the most luxurious yachts on the market.
