ACI Marina Veli Rat

The port is located in the northwestern part of Panther Bay at the bottom of which rises the settlement of Veli Rat. The Marina Veli Rat protected from all winds is open year-round and has 110 berths in the sea. All berths have electricity and water (with chip card) only in the morning and evening for about three hours.

It is necessary to enter the bay paying attention to the shoals present, so it is necessary to pass south of the bright green buoy. In the northern part there are numerous buoys for stopping, in front of a pebble beach, as well as in front of the village of Veli Rat, from which you can reach through a narrow channel bordered by briccole that runs along the village the bay of Porto Cuna, a kind of circular pond about 2 meters deep (keep as much as possible towards the west side) where there are also some buoys for a fee.

Veli Rat (White Peaks) is located in the northern part of the island of Dugi Otok (Long Island), the largest in the entire Tsarist archipelago and Dalmatia. Worth seeing are the underwater caves and salt lake. Not far from Veli Rat is the Lighthouse of Punta BJanka, the largest in the Adriatic at 42 meters high, attracting visitors from all over Europe. To the southeast is the sandy beach Sakarunfamousthanks to its white sand and clear sea that provides shade in summer. The beach is 800 meters long and is surrounded by a pine forest. .

Dugi Otok is 45 km long and 1 to 4 km wide. The island is sparsely inhabited and even in summer offers peace and quiet. Dugi Otok is an ideal destination for those who prefer to spend their vacation sailing their boat to a different place every day, looking for charming and special corners, or a beach all to themselves.

Surrounding Dugi Otok are dozens of islands and islets. Together with the Kornati it forms the last outer barrage of Dalmatia. Presenting from one point to another considerable morphological diversity with elevation differences of more than 200- 300m above the sea, the island is also interesting for lovers of trekking or, simply, for those who would like to indulge in a walk surrounded by nature.

The coastline of the western part of the island that is home to Telascica Nature Park has high cliffs and bare limestone rocks that plummet perpendicularly with a drop of 100m into a sea that is 36m deep (near the coast) to 65m deep (farther offshore), while the southeastern part has quiet bays and sandy beaches.
