Gelsa, (Croatian: Jelsa) is located on the island of Hvar, Croatia, one of the most popular destinations for tourists during the summer season who want to enjoy sea life, diving and sailing in the bay and around the surrounding islets.

The port facility of has about 40 berths for landing, each of them equipped with electricity and fresh water. Burkovo Hill protects the ports from winds from the north.
