In one of the most beautiful and protected bays of the Adriatic Sea is located, along the north coast of St. Clement (Sveti Klement), the marina in Croatia Marina Aci Palmizana, within the Paklinski islands, just in front of the island and town of Hvar (Hvar archipelago), one of the largest in Dalmatia, at a distance of about 2.5 km from the latter.
Palmižana is a popular destination for tourists and boaters, who find an ideal nautical base for sailing the entire surrounding archipelago, dotted with beautiful hidden bays and secluded beaches.
Berths and port services of the landing
The entrance to the port of Palmižana is indicated by the sign reading ACI.
Fuel service is not directly available at the Marina, but at the nearby port of Hvar – Križna Luka
The marina is well sheltered. The bay provides good protection from waves and winds. There are 211 berths available at the port, each of them equipped with a water and electricity column.
The port facility is open during the period of the year from April to October
Because Hvar’s port is always very crowded in August and it can be difficult to find a berth to dock, Palmižana Marina is an excellent port from which taxis-boats depart at inexpensive prices for those wishing to visit the wonderful tourist destination of Hvar.
In August, the vast majority of the units docking at the ports are sailboats.
In case the marina’s berths are exhausted, it is possible to moor to the south of the island at Vinogradisce Bay (not at all redoubtable by third quadrant winds).
