Marina Cervar Porat

Croatia ‘s rugged coastline offers a myriad of ports and coves where boating enthusiasts can find berthing and refreshment; Marina Červar Porat (Cervera Port Marina) is one of them. Located in the resort village of Červar-Porat(Porto Cervera) 6 km north of the town of Poreč (Poreč ), Marina Červar Porat harbor extends into the southeastern part of the Cervara inlet, lost in a sea that reflects the green lush vegetation of olive groves and coniferous forests surrounding Červar Porat.

The beach in Červar-Porat is 1.5 kilometers long and is about 500 meters from the center of the town. Protected from the winds although often subject to incursions of the Mistral and Tramontana, the Červar Porat Marina ports nevertheless remains open year-round. In addition to in-water berths it offers 50 dry berths for yachts from 3 to 13 meters.

Červar Porat is a tourist center suitable for different types of tourists: families, young people and lovers of sports and nature.

What is Červar-Porat ‘s welcome for its tourists? In addition to a beautiful marina equipped for nautical enthusiasts, there is no shortage of restaurants, taverns, and places to enjoy Istrian specialties.

Tourist info: Poreč (Porec ) is the main tourist center and can be reached by bicycle paths that start right from the Červar-Porat marina . Gastronomic specialties of this region include Istrian ham, sausages, olives, asparagus, pasta, pancakes, and the famous top-quality Istrian wines.

Poreč is a town that offers culture and entertainment to its tourists, as well as Croatia’s clean beaches interspersed with coves and numerous islands located on the western coast of Istria.

The largest of Poreč ‘s islands is St.Nikola where the historic Round Tower can be visited: built in 1402, it remains one of the oldest lighthouses in the Adriatic Sea. Natural beauty includes the Limche Channel, which extends inland as a fjord for approx. 12 km and is considered one of the most beautiful natural resources of the Istrian peninsula.

In the historic center of Poreč , signs of Roman urban architecture can be seen: the street layout retains the rectangular structure typical of the Roman castrum, although the city’s best-known monument remains the Euphrasian Basilica, included among the aristic heritage of humanity by UNESCO.

If you visit Poreč in late April or early May you might attend the Vinistra International Wine and Wine Equipment Exhibition.

Nearby nautical centers include Pula, Rovinj, Novigrad, Umag, and Vrsar.
