Ports in Croatia in the Bay of Sibenik
The town of Sabenico (ล ibenik) is located on the Croatian Adriatic coast, in the Dalmatian region, in a natural port connected to the sea by a channel of about 2.7 km in length and 120 to 300 m in width that allows ships of more than 50 tons to navigate, at the mouth of the Krka River (a karst river and one of the most beautiful in the whole of Croatia, with an average depth of 30 meters).
Access to the port is through St. Anthony’s Channel, where ships must be given priority (they must keep to starboard.)
The entrance to the infrastructure is protected by the old Port of St. Nicholas At the north coast, there are berths for mooring, in the Secenica and Capljena bights, while theSt. Petar bend located south of the city is prohibited.
Along the quay bordering the old town of Sibenik is thedead-body mooring with 40 mooring berths muiti of rings and water and electricity services.
The depth of the seabed is 4 meters.
Within the port, mega yachts are often moored.
Boats bound for Krka National Park also sail from here.
