Marina Supetarska Draga

Supetarska Draga marina takes its name from the village of the same name that extends overlooking the island of Rab (Rab) 6 km away from the town of Rab as a natural sequence of the Mundanije valley. Draga Bay is divided into two parts, Gornja(upper) and Donja(lower) Draga, and extends at the foot of the village of Supetarska Draga, originally a fishing village that over the years has developed as a tourist resort, not only attractive for the landing of boaters but also for the beauty of the surrounding nature.

Supetarska Draga is a small archipelago with three islets at the entrance to the valley, known for the cleanliness of its beaches (sand for the most part and pebbles) that attract families with children and a habitat that sheltered from the winds offers a safe place for birds to nest; in fact, there are many tourists who are keen on photography and birdwatching who decide to reach Supetarska Draga.

Certainly, recreational tourism will be able to appreciate the most beautiful beaches of Supetarska Draga, which are scattered on the islets dotting the bay and can therefore be reached only by boat. Nearby places to visit include the small settlement of Gonar, located on the peninsula of the same name, on the side of Draga Bay opposite the marina. Equipped with several sandy and shady beaches these are, however, separated by small piers and concrete terraces that can only be accessed by land, via a path that runs along the coast (also passable by bike). Beware, however, of the high season; Gonar’s beaches are not very spacious and it is easy to find them crowded. The Gonar peninsula looking westward and Kampor Bay is popular with boaters and foodies looking for fresh fish.

A beach curiosity: the Paradise beach on theisland of Rab was the first in this area to open its ports to people in adamic costumes since 1934.

Of note: The houses rent different types of vacation apartments and rooms and also have berths for small boats. The anchorages and sandy coves and three small islets (Maman, Sridnjak and Sailovac) offer protection and are ideal for divers, swimmers and boaters. Of note for ‘ port entry at Supetarska Draga marina: the Sorinj cape lighthouse and the Kalifront cape lighthouse are good landmarks at seawhen arriving from the north or west: Sorinj cape with the B Bl 3s 10m 6M lighthouse and Kalifront cape with the B Bl (3) 10s 11m 8M lighthouse.
