Work on the construction of the Vrsar Marina began in 1999 and was completed in 2001. Equipped to the most modern standards, based on the votes of boaters and numerous consistently positive feedbacks, the Vrsar Marina has been proclaimed “the best marina in the East Adriatic” several times. Located on the west coast of Istria, the marina is situated within a natural port: this important feature favors the landing of vessels in full and total respect of the beautiful surrounding nature.
The port is very conveniently located: being extremely close to the city, it allows its guests to enjoy all the events, attractions, and amenities of the town of Vrsar, one of the most beautiful towns in Istria, located 3 km north of the Lim Channel.
Initially a small ancient town, Vrsar has over the years developed into a developed and increasingly famous tourist center that attracts an ever-increasing number of tourists and visitors. Facing the town of Vrsar is one of the most beautiful archipelagos in Istria, consisting of 18 uninhabited islets.
Open throughout the year according to the h 8 a.m.-3 p.m. schedule, the port has 220 berths and can accommodate even large vessels up to a maximum of 50 mt. in length. Water depths range from 4 mt in the area where the fuel station is located to a maximum of 14 mt. In addition to the 220 berths in the sea, there are 40 berths on land.
Boaters can, within the marina, enjoy a large number of services. Wi-Fi is available throughout the facility, within which there are also bars, an excellent restaurant (where reservations are highly recommended) and a charter agency. Clients can then enjoy air-conditioned restrooms, equipped with showers and changing rooms, and convenient parking facilities.
The nautical store within the facility, in addition to being well stocked, offers customers the opportunity to rent sports equipment or take advantage of diving services with technical assistance. There is also a laundry and a small supermarket.
Electricity, drinking water and garbage collection are offered and guaranteed at the dock, and a fuel station is located near the berths.
For boaters who need technical assistance, there is a maintenanceworkshop that also provides a crane with a maximum capacity of 30 tons. Boat security is made possible by the reception desk equipped with an in-house video surveillance system.
A natural protection of the ports comes from the island of St. George, on which stands the Romanesque church of the same name. Well sheltered from the winds thanks to the presence of the island of St. George and quiet even in the busiest months despite the huge crowds, the marina of Vrsar is the perfect place to quietly moor your boat or set out to discover the natural wonders of the Istrian coast.
The marina is run by the same owners who also take care of the landing at Fontana (Funtane), located further north.
