Description

Silba is part of the Kvarner archipelago of islands located in the Kvarner Gulf. In the summer time most of these islands are very popular with visitors from land since there are numerous bridges connecting them to the coast, for example both the island of Krk and Pag are well connected. Wanting to visit the archipelago while avoiding the more intense tourist flows, the island of Silba is the best choice since it lies further off the coast than the others and is smaller in size.

Silba is very small, only 8 kilometers long and with an area of only 15 square kilometers, and also sparsely inhabited; only the village of Selve stands on the territory. Tourist facilities are absent; those who decide to stay on Silba must rely on private homes. On a naturalistic level, the island can boast of rich Mediterranean scrub, and there are many beaches, most of which can be reached by sea since roads on the island are concentrated only in the village. Pocukmarak is the largest beach and also close to the center, blue waters and very clean, 100 meters from the beach is the small church of St. Mark.

Silba has two ports, one western and one eastern. Both are quite limited and cannot accommodate large boats. The island, also because of the facilities offered, is the perfect choice for those who enjoy the pleasure of discovering unspoiled places. The prospect is a landing in a small port dedicated more to the use of the local population and for a few seasonal tourists. Stopover at these landings is recommended for those who sail, don’t worry too much if their mooring neighbor has one less fender and know they have a crew with people with a spirit of adventure and adaptability.

The port located in the western part of the island is very small and quite exposed to the winds and is used mostly by small boats of local fishermen, the pier, on the other hand, is used for ferry stops. The nearest town is Zadar, which is about 30 nautical miles away. The ports located on the western part of the island, marked by the coordinates at the top of the page, offer basic services such as water and electricity. A number of buoys are available outside the port, but given the location’s exposure to the bora, the choice of a mooring in the port is best. Within the port there are several dead bodies, strongly recommended bow mooring immediately on the quay to your left after entering the port, the area guarantees a bottom depth of about two meters.

The conspicuous point visible from the sea is a 15-meter-high turret built in the 19th century by Captain Marinic in memory of an unforgettable love. There is a spectacular view from the top of the tower.

Do you need to sell your boat? You are in the right place! yachtdigest.com is in fact the largest online portal on recreational boating and in this section you will be able to write your ad for free if you want to sell your boat. Adding a new sales message is very simple and intuitive as is finding a boat you are interested in buying, but to make your listing even more appealing, we want to give you some general but important pointers that you can follow if you wish.

First of all, try to personalize your ad, describing the history of the boat and perhaps the reason why you are selling it, this way you will gain more trust from the reader.

You can call it “half-new” if it is almost new, or “used” by specifying whether or not it is in good condition. It indicates the condition of the engines, the year of registration, how many owners it has had-most importantly, it indicates whether the boat has been owned by a single owner: it increases interest to those reading the ad.

The goodness of your craft must shine through in your message, because before you can convince someone, you yourself must be convinced that the product is good.

It is important that no spelling errors are made in the advertisement, so reread the message well before putting it online. The language then must be clear and simple, understandable to all.

It serves to attract interest and induce the reader to continue reading; it is the most important part and should summarize in one line the whole message we want to give. Unfortunately, you don’t have much chance to stand out much except with something really original to attract attention. So focus on truly original details of the boat, its real qualities: in the yachtdigest.com portal this brief summary will appear by hovering over the picture of the boat with the mouse.

It is important to clearly include the general record of the vessel. Always enter: shipyard, model, length, width, draft, engines, number of cabins, year of construction, price.

In the boat sheet accurately enter all boat details, standard and extra equipment. It is useful to communicate many details and details for those who are really interested and will continue reading beyond the first few lines.

Suggest to the reader who wants to buy the best features of your craft, and do not indicate-unless it is necessary to inform the buyer in advance-information that might negatively influence the reader.

Always indicate the price. Unless you absolutely do not want to deal, we recommend adding the words “price negotiable” which gives an incentive for the buyer to contact you.
