Ubli Lastovo

Ubli is a small town on the island of Lastovo with a ferry pier.
It performs the functions of a port of entry into Croatia, and the only gas station on the island is located here.
There is English mooring 3-6 meters from the quay when the ferry is not present.
The berth is usually occupied by fishing boats.

The bay where the ports are located is enclosed by theisland of Prezba to which it is connected by a bridge that separates the other bend of Mali Lago.
Here beware of strong Bora, which can also be channeled into the more protected shelter on the west side.
Opposite Ubli the Bora blows mostly from the north.
For night landings, the red guiding light to cover hazards on the right is obscured by the inbound islets.

Ubli is connected to the port of Split via ferry or catamaran.
The ferry that stops overnight makes a lot of noise so it is not very pleasant to stay overnight at the dock.
In the village are the harbormaster’s office, customs, a store, and a bar.
The gas station for boaters outside the summer season has broken hours, while in the summer season (June to September) it is open all day.

With its hills and valleys covered with orchards, olive groves, and vineyards and its villages out of time the island of Lastovo, (Lastovo) is a natural paradise, 56 square kilometers of unspoiled nature and folk tradition.
On the island there are many beaches and coves carved out of the inlets of the rugged and often rocky coastline.
There are both sandy and pebble beaches.
One of the most beautiful is Saplun, one of the uninhabited islets in the Lastovo archipelago.

Lastovo Nature Park has been a protected area since 2006.
The nature reserve includes the island of Lastovo and the surrounding archipelago and the island of Susac.
In total, 44 islands, islets and reefs are included in the Nature Park.

All roads on Lastovo are ideal for cycling given the small number of cars on the island.
The road connects Ubli with the resort of Lastovo and with Porto Rosso for a total of 17 km.
The inhabitants are engaged in viticulture, olive growing and tourism.
The gastronomic offerings of this island can be enjoyed in the taverns More, Pece and Pace, the local specialties being lobsters and oysters.
