Marina degli Estensi

The Marina degli Estensi built in the southern part of the city of Comacchio is part of the Porto Garibaldi port complex. The Marina covers an area of 33000 square meters and includes several floating docks with fingers and briccole. In the port area in the South side of the dock are a fixed crane up to 3.5 t, a mobile crane up to 20 t, slipways and slipways. On the north side of the dock is a fuel station open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Marina offers boat lodging and launching, service and maintenance.

The harbor access hours are continuous and the dock is accessed after navigating the harbor-channel for about half a mile and entering the 4-meter-deep Vene Channel on the left, signaled by green and red fixed-light beacons. The dock well protected from the winds and the sea becomes almost unreachable with the Scirocco and Grecale winds that at the mouth raise breakers that make it difficult to enter the harbor. The tide originates a contrary current of up to 5 knots investing the valley area of Comacchio, creating height differences of about 1 meter.

In the many restaurants and trattorias of Comacchio and the seven Lidi you can taste seafood dishes: seafood risottos and alla pescatora, spaghetti with crab or mantis shrimp, fish soups and grilled fish. A typical local ingredient is theeel, which also gives rise to a famous festival held in the fall, to be enjoyed marinated, grilled or stewed.
