The Bluffs Marina was built by the Berg & DiVosta Development Company as a component of their project The Marina at the Bluffs Condominium. The marina facility received a certificate of occupancy in 1985 to accommodate 100 boats.
Wilfred Azar, a longtime Maryland businessman and sailor, had spent winters in North Palm Beach touring the old Yacht Club ports. He was quietly watching the construction of the Berg & DiVosta project when he approached the developers shortly after the marina portion of The Marina at The Bluffs Condominium project was complete and wanted to purchase the marina.
