Port Haliguen is located in Quiberon Bay in southern Brittany. This small estuary has hosted ships since ancient times. They found the protection and water points needed to supply them. In 1840, the small harbor refuge, protected by a dry stone pier, became a stranded port where they developed commercial and fishing activities. Around the old port, a large marina was built in 1968 and developed until 1975 to support increased recreation. The original site has retained all its charm. Its iconic lighthouse, built in 1856, and the keeper’s house, which now hosts art exhibitions and delights walkers.
