Marina Lepanto: a safe ports in Friuli Venezia Giulia

The Marina Lepanto in Monfalcone in the Upper Adriatic enjoys a strategic location and is an ideal base from which to reach Grado, Lignano, Venice and Trieste in addition to the marinas of Istria, Austria, Germany, and all of Central Europe.

It has a total area of 50,000 sq. m. on which are arranged 220 berths in the water, equipped with electricity and water, for the berthing of boats up to 25 meters length. The structure consists of. 6 floating docks, 75 m long, equipped with fingers with fenders and a 240-meter fixed dock. A 1,000 sq. m. showroom is located in the Marina. And a large 2,400 sq. m. boat storage shed 9.5 meters high and equipped with a bridge crane and various equipment for all routine and extraordinary maintenance services. The outdoor area has a hull-washing facility and a 70-ton travel lift with a hauling and launching tank for boats up to 28 meters in length and no more than 6.9 meters wide, which ensures safe and trouble-free movements. A boat transport service is also offered.

There is also a bar, swimming pool, parking lots, locker rooms and hot showers, swimming pool and a commercial area as well as a restaurant and clubhouse ideal for banquets and ceremonies and a conference hall where meetings, gatherings, business meetings and workshops can be held throughout the year. Under the spacious panoramic porch and in the Sundial Square parties, performances and fashion shows can be held.

Monfalcone is an important industrial center located at the foot of the Karst at the northernmost part of the Gulf of Trieste. The 87-meter-high fortress is worth seeing, as well as the small Venetian-style central district.

Monfalcone’s beaches are shallow and sandy with a sloping seabed that stretches for many kilometers from Bagni di Panzano in Marina Julia to Lido di Staranzano. Lhe beach of Marina Julia, the seaside hamlet of Monfalcone, is equipped with bars, kiosks, umbrellas, deck chairs and cabins. The weather conditions attract many enthusiasts of windsurfing and kitesurfing. Bagni di Panzano is located on a tree-lined island connected to the mainland by a paved road. The bathing establishment has a fenced beach, bar and restaurant, and a campground.

The cuisine is influenced by past Austro-Hungarian rule. In Monfalcone you can taste stuffed gnocchi, potato chipfel, vegetable strucoli in addition to goulash, zlikrofi, polenta and toc, potatoes in tecia. Typical desserts are Gorizia strudel, apple fritters, coch di pane, sweet chifel.
