Description

Marina San Rocco is a marina and is conveniently located for cruises along the coast of neighboring Croatia. The port is flanked by a pedestrian tourist-residential complex designed by architect Luigi Vietti.

Landmarks for arrival are the third breakwater protecting the port of Trieste and the promontory of Punta Sottile, which mark the entrance to the bay of Muggia. At the entrance looking towards the bow one can see the entire city of Trieste all the way to Miramare Castle. The Marina is located on the right side of the bay and is marked by a red and a green light and is easily recognized by the ochre coloring of the piers. With a good depth of the seabed it can accommodate a total of 546 boats from 8 to 60 meters on floating docks with fingers and on fixed docks with traps. There are also 46 berths available for maxi yachts from 20 to 60 meters..

The not very wide east-facing mouth of the port leads into a large forebay where yachts of good tonnage can find berths on the quay. The stretch of water and the two large breakwaters can accommodate boats in transit up to 35 m. The bottom is about 7 m. Berths are on floating docks, and each berth is equipped with a drinking water and electricity supply column. The port offers showers, toilets, parking spaces, fuel station, wi-fi internet connection, and 24-hour surveillance and mooring assistance.
The Marina cooperates with the nearby boatyard equipped with an engine workshop and capable of electromechanical repairs, repairs of wooden and fiberglass hulls. Among the yard’s facilities: a 160-ton travel lift, 35,000 sq. m. of uncovered storage areas, and 4,000 sq. m. of sheds.

Muggia is located in the extreme southeastern part of the province of Trieste, between the border of Slovenia and the Gulf of Trieste. Surrounded by medieval walls and dominated by the 14th-century Castle, it offers visitors a view of the Venetian Gothic-style cathedral along with other fine churches, including the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta of Romanesque origin. Very visible is the past Venetian rule in the town with its calli and Piazza Marconi, much like a campiello. Worth visiting are the Town Hall and the historic center, which flows into the ancient Mandracchio. Of note is the Muggesano Carnival with its floats and elegant costumes.

The Gulf of Muggia is made up of small inlets, sandy beaches and rocky stretches covered with oleander and broom spread over 7 km of coastline. The beaches are equipped with bathing establishments, bars, stores, boat rentals and diving assistance.

Several influences can be seen in the local cuisine. Typical dishes of Venetian origin are the
cod, the brodetto and i sardines. Instead, they are influenced by the ancient Austrian domination dishes as the calandracca, luganighe and capuzi, the jota and the bread dumplings. C evapcici, rasnici e presnitz are instead examples of Slovenian tradition. Among the local productions the extra virgin olive oil and wine Malvasia.

Do you need to sell your boat? You are in the right place! yachtdigest.com is in fact the largest online portal on recreational boating and in this section you will be able to write your ad for free if you want to sell your boat. Adding a new sales message is very simple and intuitive as is finding a boat you are interested in buying, but to make your listing even more appealing, we want to give you some general but important pointers that you can follow if you wish.

First of all, try to personalize your ad, describing the history of the boat and perhaps the reason why you are selling it, this way you will gain more trust from the reader.

You can call it “half-new” if it is almost new, or “used” by specifying whether or not it is in good condition. It indicates the condition of the engines, the year of registration, how many owners it has had-most importantly, it indicates whether the boat has been owned by a single owner: it increases interest to those reading the ad.

The goodness of your craft must shine through in your message, because before you can convince someone, you yourself must be convinced that the product is good.

It is important that no spelling errors are made in the advertisement, so reread the message well before putting it online. The language then must be clear and simple, understandable to all.

It serves to attract interest and induce the reader to continue reading; it is the most important part and should summarize in one line the whole message we want to give. Unfortunately, you don’t have much chance to stand out much except with something really original to attract attention. So focus on truly original details of the boat, its real qualities: in the yachtdigest.com portal this brief summary will appear by hovering over the picture of the boat with the mouse.

It is important to clearly include the general record of the vessel. Always enter: shipyard, model, length, width, draft, engines, number of cabins, year of construction, price.

In the boat sheet accurately enter all boat details, standard and extra equipment. It is useful to communicate many details and details for those who are really interested and will continue reading beyond the first few lines.

Suggest to the reader who wants to buy the best features of your craft, and do not indicate-unless it is necessary to inform the buyer in advance-information that might negatively influence the reader.

Always indicate the price. Unless you absolutely do not want to deal, we recommend adding the words “price negotiable” which gives an incentive for the buyer to contact you.
