Portopiccolo Sistiana

The port of Portopiccolo Sistiana is located in a secluded cove a short distance from Trieste and Venice and the coast of Croatia. The marina is managed by the Portopiccolo Yacht Club and offers a full range of modern facilities and services, including boat rentals. By being a member of the club, one can participate in many interesting marine events, such as international rallies and regattas.

In addition, one can learn in advance about new cruising boats coming out on the market, try them out for a preview, and take part in the events that are organized with the aim of making Portopiccolo a reference point for nautical novelties. The nautical club is an exclusive meeting point available for conventions, meetings and conferences and offers its guests elegant services and absolute privacy.

There is a large private beach equipped with cabins, umbrellas and sunbeds in front of a very clean and transparent stretch of sea where you can swim without being disturbed. Mooring is safe because the port is under 24-hour video surveillance, and in the background is the beautiful village of Portopiccolo Sistiana, one of the most enchanting areas of the upper Adriatic Sea. The village is nestled between Miramare Castle and Duino Castle, and in a short time you can reach both Trieste and Venice, two wonderful cities with so many things to visit. In addition to the clean and enchanting sea, the hinterland is also rich in art and culture and is a worldwide destination for visitors who love art and ancient architecture.

Venice needs no introduction; Umberto Saba and Italo Svevo were born in Trieste and the Irish poet James Joyce lived there for a long time. Getting to Venice by boat is an unforgettable thrill, from Portopiccolo there are about 140 km that run along the entire riviera, passing through Lignano Sabbiadoro and Lido di Iesolo.

On the opposite side from Venice is Croatia, and the whole area is WWF-protected Marine Reserve. Portopiccolo’s interior architecture is almost fairy-tale-like, with sheer cliffs overlooking the sea dominated by Miramare Castle, on the Karst plateau covered with Mediterranean scrub.
