Port de Sainte Marie La Mer is located along the coast of the Gulf of Lion in Mediterranean France. It is an integral part of the Eastern Pyrenees region, is 1.6 miles from the ports of Canet- en- Roussillon, and enjoys the magnificent backdrop of the Pyrenees.
The total number of places for boat mooring is 473, for boats with a maximum length of 22 meters. Mooring takes place at pontoons – fixed or floating. The draught of the harbor area at the dock varies from 2.50 meters to 50 centimeters, but the minimum recommended draught for boats passing through here is 1.50 meters, because this is the depth reached at the entrance of the landing.

The maintenance area has a storage area, an enclosed and secure area that can accommodate up to 150 vessels, with controlled access and sources of water and electricity supply.

Port de Sainte Marie La Mer is located in the municipality of Sainte Marie en Roussillon, not far from its center. It enjoys a fairly quiet setting, but you can still find some restaurants, campsites, bars, and convenience stores in its surroundings.

The Port de Sainte Marie La Mer area hosts some beautiful areas One of these is the plage des Epis de Sainte Marie, located in the immediate vicinity of the landing, on the northern part of the coast. The beach has fine sand and takes its name from the numerous, small cliffs that fractionate it, protecting and sheltering it from the waves. On site, bathers can find showers and toilets, as well as free parking and some restaurants nearby. The beach is guarded during peak season.
Moving further up the coast to the north, one encounters the central plage de Sainte Marie.
It is one of the most central beaches (it is located in front of the tourist office) and is lined by a footpath.
It offers showers, toilets, some grassy areas, a playground and some water inflatables for children.
It also has two free parking lots nearby.
Even further north is the plage Nord de Sainte Marie. It is a quiet, large beach made of fine, light-colored sand. Although it is not very far from the center and urban area, it has maintained a good amount of naturalness. It offers access for people with physical disabilities and free parking nearby. O its bathers can enjoy showers, toilets and a security service in the summer months.
Part of the beach is privatized and offers the possibility of renting swimming equipment.
