Porto di Civitavecchia

Civitavecchia – Ports of Lazio

The infrastructure is divided into 2 parts

  • Northern Area: dedicated to commercial traffic, fishing and cabotage.
  • Southern Area: dedicated to tourism, boating and cruising

With a long breakwater for protection, the port is composed of the forebay and inner harbor basin and the Roman dock.
Better known as the Port of Rome, this is primarily a commercial dock and a strategic point with regard to cruise tourist routes in the Mediterranean Sea. In fact, passenger traffic has increased significantly in recent years.

Areas reserved for recreational boating

  • Lazzaretto Pier: floating pier with 60 meters of landing places for pleasure boats.
  • Roman dock: berths for 64 meters along a floating dock.
  • Apollodoro Quay: 60 meters reserved for boating.
  • 40 meters on a mobile pontoon under management at Ulysses Shipyard 2000

Plans to expand the port of Civitavecchia include berths for 23 mega yachts from 40 to over 100 meters in length.

Port tourism services

  • Ferry to Olbia-Golfo Aranci
  • Ferry to Cagliari
  • Ferry to Porto Torres

The port of Civatecchia aims to establish itself as the most important cruise port in the Mediterranean
