The Chiavari Marina consists of an elbowed breakwater pier, docked to the mouth, and a sub-billow pier placed on an S – W axis. Pontoons are present along the latter pier and at the north quay. The south wharf is dedicated to fishermen and boats in transit; the left sub-wharf, located at the head of the entrance wharf and characterized by a red light, is instead intended for the transit of tourist ferries.
The marina has 9 piers and 2 docks, which in total are able to offer 459 berths: 118 berths for boats up to 6 meters in length, 142 berths for boats up to 8 meters, 169 for boats up to 12 meters, 26 for boats up to 18 meters, and finally 4 berths for boats up to 25 meters in length. The transit pier, with 12 equipped berths, can accommodate up to 35 boats. Ashore, 215 stalls are also available for smaller boats or cars.
At the Tower, located at the head of the west dock, are the Moorers, Administrative Offices and Navimeteo Observatory. The Moorings Offices are available at any time of the day, 7 days a week. The Administrative Offices, on the other hand, follow the following schedule: Monday through Saturday 09:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. / 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.; Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
A wi-fi Internet network is spread throughout the port area, available to customers. There are also 63 parking spaces available, accessed by magnetic card. Boaters will be able to use toilets and showers; mothers can use the area specially reserved for the care of babies.
Boat maintenance and repair activities can be carried out by the large number of firms within the port area. For information and details, visit the Chiavari port’s webpage
Also available within the ports is an outpatient, nursing and pediatric service: the former is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, the latter every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The marina is also equipped with a small heliport that can be used in case of medical emergencies. Moorers are trained to perform the necessary maneuvers to assist emergency responders in carrying out their duties. The helicopter pad is available to law enforcement agencies and private individuals in emergency situations.
Security within the port is ensured by the continuous video surveillance system and night watch service.
Always interested in environmental issues, the port has recently equipped itself with a modern and efficientEcological Island: this island is available to customers so that waste can be sorted. It is also possible to throw there, under the supervision of Cala Nostromo, used oils, filters and spent batteries.
A bilge liquid suction station has also been set up and is available to all boaters so that such sewage can be removed without having to disperse it into the sea.
