The port of Sestri levante consists of two piers and a wharf that extends northward for about 250 meters. One pier is located near the wharf and the other is northwest of the maritime office. Only small boats can moor at this second pier.
The ports are well equipped, there are four cranes of which three are mobile 30 t and one is fixed 3 t. Storage and repair service is available as well as toilets, showers and all kinds of stores. Boats with a maximum length of 20 meters and a draft of up to 8 meters are allowed to moor.

The Adua wharf is reserved for the unloading of fish and the launching of vessels, and the Margherita wharf for the docking of motorboats carrying passengers. The management of the berths is administered by the Naval League and the Yacht Club, and in the dock reserved for transit one can stay free of charge for five days extendable to five more in case of availability.
In front of the harbor it is only possible to drop anchor by staying outside the port area, and anchoring is prohibited from May 1 to September 30. Care must be taken when winds blow from the north and southwest and also at the rocks outcropping near the breakwater.
