Description

The port of Oneglia, located in the center of town, is a commercial port located east of Porto Maurizio, a tourist landing instead. It consists of two docks: the first, which constitutes the foreport, is partially docked while the second turns out to be totally docked. The port of Oneglia is protected by two piers: the New Short Breakwater Pier extends 200 meters from the mouth of the Impero Creek in a southerly direction, while the Artiglio II Pier is placed on an S – W axis.

The bottom is mixed, partly muddy and partly slushy. At the dock, the bottom depth varies from a minimum of 1.50 meters to a maximum of 8.50 meters.

The port provides 100 berths, 10 of which are reserved exclusively for transit vessels whose length must not exceed 15 meters. The Ocean Dock is made available for commercial vessels up to 100 meters in length. There is also a tourist part, dedicated exclusively to large commercial yachts providing charter services.

The port of Oneglia is reserved exclusively for commercial traffic and local fishing units. However, mooring is allowed for vessels performing a function other than those listed above if there is no other berth available and upon prior approval of the harbormaster’s office.

In such a case, the maximum draft of the vessels must not exceed 7.30 meters for vessels intending to moor on the Aicardi quay and must be strictly less than 6.50 meters for vessels that will moor on the G.B. Cuneo Wharf.

Since it is not a marina, the port of Oneglia does not have toilets, showers, laundry facilities, or the other amenities typical of a marina or harbor. Being right in the center, however, numerous bars, restaurants and stores are within a very short distance. The waterfront promenade is remarkable, with the porticoes of Calata Cuneo on one side and the charming marina on the other.

Services provided include lighting, garbage collection, and electricity and drinking water supply. There is a slipway, a slipway, a 30-ton mobile crane and travel lifts up to 100 tons in weight. Electrical, engine and hull repairs of wood, fiberglass or steel are also carried out.

To gain access to the port of Oneglia, it is necessary to get in touch in advance with Imperia Yacht, the company that manages the port.
