The Marina Portosole Sanremo marina is located along the coast of the province of Imperia, in the very center of the City of Flowers.
It is an amenity-rich landing place, built and inaugurated in the late 1970s, which enjoys an excellent location on the Riviera dei Fiori, serving as an access “gateway” to the city of San Remo.
It is located between the San Remo municipal port and Punta San Martino.
It is an integral part of the Cozzi- Parodi Group, a group of companies working in western Liguria that is interested in real estate sales, tourist facilities, and building construction.
In addition to the Marina di San Lorenzo, the Cozzi- Parodi group has pursued the creation of two other ports of call: the Marina degli Aregai (in Santo Stefano a Mare) and the Marina di San Lorenzo al Mare, which are three and eight nautical miles away from the marina, respectively.
The port is protected by a breakwater, which provides shelter to its nine piers (in addition to the floating dock) from the comb-like arrangement.
The port is designed to accommodate up to 804 boats at once, for boats with a maximum length of 90 meters.
The seabed is muddy and sandy, is good tenors, and has a depth ranging from 2.50 to 7 meters.
It offers its guests a continuous mooring assistance service, the possibility of obtaining drinking water and electricity directly at the dock (equipped with lighting), a surveillance service and a service for issuing weather reports.
The port area also offers toilets and showers, a garbage pick-up service, a laundry service and black water collection, as well as a diver service in case of the need for underwater interventions.
The area is well protected from winds from almost all directions, but it is good to watch out for the presence of any winds from the east.
As for the shipbuilding and maintenance area, the marina is equipped with a boat slipway, two travelifts with a maximum capacity of 30 tons each, a slipway with a maximum capacity of 750 tons, and a number of workshops for repairs on the boats.
In addition, there is a diesel and gasoline filling station at the landing.
In addition to its yachting function, Marina Portosole San Remo also qualifies as a commercial attraction, offering various services to its patrons.
In addition to services related to boat stopovers, the port houses two shipyards, a brokerage center, a few nautical agencies, two sailing schools, a boat laundry, and a few authorized outlets for on-board electronics.
In addition, a restaurant and two bars (with a terrace overlooking the waterfront), a car wash, a unisex beauty salon, an electric vehicle rental point and a bicycle rental point can be found in the port area.
A commercial expansion project at Portosole includes the construction of a five-star hotel and a shopping arcade, which will house a variety of stores.
In the immediate vicinity of the ports you can find medicines, hotels, gardens, restaurants, supermarkets, and the train station.
Less than two kilometers from the ports area (near the San Remo Orthodox Church) is the Hotel de Paris, a four-star luxury hotel that is part of the Cozzi- Parodi group.
San Remo is also the starting point of a long bicycle and pedestrian path.
The particularly central location makes Portosole Sanremo an excellent starting point for reaching numerous, other tourist resorts, in Italy and on the French Riviera.
The port of Menton is about 33 kilometers away.
In addition, Marina Portosole Sanremo is home to the Tethys Institute, an organization that studies cetacean specimens in the Mediterranean Sea.
