Description

Located south of Lake Como, Centro Nautico Garlate is a private landing place located on the shores of the lake of the same name.

The center, established in the 1960s, saw its own split in 2010 into two different storage groups: the Ares Marine and Nautica Fumagalli . The first yard offers 75 spaces, 20 of which are for dockside mooring.
The second, on the other hand, can accommodate a total of 50 boats in its spaces, with 23 dock spaces for boats not exceeding 10 meters in length.
In general, boats not exceeding 14 meters in length and with a draft between 1.50 and 5 meters are allowed access to the landing place.

Both shipyards offer storage services for all kinds of boats, an engine repair team and a new and used boat sales business.
In addition, drinking water, fuel dispensers and 220V electricity supply columns can be found in the center area.

The lake has a basin area of 44 kmยฒ and can reach a maximum depth of 34 meters, with a sedimentary bottom.
It has as tributaries the Bione stream and the Adda River, which, from being an emissary of Lake Como, immediately becomes an immissary of that of Garlate.
For those sailing on the lake waters, the maximum speed allowed is 20 km/h.

Sailors landing in the Garlate Nautical Center can take advantage of the bar and restaurant located within its perimeter.
There is also a fairly large parking lot at the entrance to the boating complex.
The lake is also a popular destination for canoeists and dinghy owners, who can find good launching spots here.

Garlate is part of the Adda Nord Park, an organization that is concerned with the preservation and protection of the environment, fauna and flora of the area’s most naturally interesting sites.

Fishing (amateur and professional) on the lake is moderated according to precise regulations issued by the Province of Lecco that define the mode and timing of fishing activity throughout the year.
In any case, spearfishing is prohibited throughout the area, and sports competitions are allowed only in some municipalities.

The shores of the lake have been the subject of a long controversy about the expansion of the port area: the 2012 concession authorizing the construction of a yard with cranes and a floating dock with a footbridge was revoked in 2014 because of damage to the reed beds, typical local vegetation.

The Lake Garlate area owes part of its notoriety to Manzoni’s great work “I promessi sposi” (The Betrothed), as the place of origin of the character Renzo Tramaglino and the backdrop of his vicissitudes after escaping from Milan.

From its shores it is possible to enjoy a magnificent view of the Resegone and Barro mountains and of the city ofLecco, which is just a 10-minute drive away. Bellagio, a renowned resort on Lake Como, can be reached in about forty minutes by car but also by boat, calculating a couple of hours as a time frame.
From Garlate, excursion lovers can set off on a pleasant bike ride on the Adda cycle path , on the part of the Ciclovia dei Laghi (Lakes Cycle Route) that leads to Trezzo.

Do you need to sell your boat? You are in the right place! yachtdigest.com is in fact the largest online portal on recreational boating and in this section you will be able to write your ad for free if you want to sell your boat. Adding a new sales message is very simple and intuitive as is finding a boat you are interested in buying, but to make your listing even more appealing, we want to give you some general but important pointers that you can follow if you wish.

First of all, try to personalize your ad, describing the history of the boat and perhaps the reason why you are selling it, this way you will gain more trust from the reader.

You can call it “half-new” if it is almost new, or “used” by specifying whether or not it is in good condition. It indicates the condition of the engines, the year of registration, how many owners it has had-most importantly, it indicates whether the boat has been owned by a single owner: it increases interest to those reading the ad.

The goodness of your craft must shine through in your message, because before you can convince someone, you yourself must be convinced that the product is good.

It is important that no spelling errors are made in the advertisement, so reread the message well before putting it online. The language then must be clear and simple, understandable to all.

It serves to attract interest and induce the reader to continue reading; it is the most important part and should summarize in one line the whole message we want to give. Unfortunately, you don’t have much chance to stand out much except with something really original to attract attention. So focus on truly original details of the boat, its real qualities: in the yachtdigest.com portal this brief summary will appear by hovering over the picture of the boat with the mouse.

It is important to clearly include the general record of the vessel. Always enter: shipyard, model, length, width, draft, engines, number of cabins, year of construction, price.

In the boat sheet accurately enter all boat details, standard and extra equipment. It is useful to communicate many details and details for those who are really interested and will continue reading beyond the first few lines.

Suggest to the reader who wants to buy the best features of your craft, and do not indicate-unless it is necessary to inform the buyer in advance-information that might negatively influence the reader.

Always indicate the price. Unless you absolutely do not want to deal, we recommend adding the words “price negotiable” which gives an incentive for the buyer to contact you.
